University Of Cash And Tosh

When LKW started in 2008 it was moderately a joke that only the smart ones would chuckle at. In 2009, a year after its controversial entry into Lesotho, the university became a joke for everyone including even the dimwitted amongst us.

In 2010 the university became such a hilarious joke that it became a national laughing stock.
It was a poster child of all things we have bungled in this country (and believe you me we bungle a lot here).

2010 The institution was accused of issuing fake certificates and failing to meet legitimacy standards in Lesotho. It was followed by police investigation and court cases that showed cases of fraud.

A Fat Excuse Of A University

Its mantra about innovative education is just a cover for a scheme to siphon money out of poor countries desperate to educate their people.

In 2008, Dr Kok brought a few chairs, a few computers, lots of marketing banners and announced that he was ready to start a university,

The old man with squinty eyes runs a private university with students whose exorbitant fees are funded by the government.

LUCT Students Strike 2010

MASERU — LUCT University students yesterday went on strike protesting against what they called “bad management and poor services”.

They also alleged that the university management had made “empty promises” that they would deal with these problems. They also alleged that most of the lecturers at the university were either incompetent or unqualified.

LUCT students protest over NMDS stipends 2021

There was total chaos and pandemonium at the LUCT University of Creative Technology campus earlier today when students staged a protest to express displeasure at the delayed disbursement of stipends by the National Manpower Development Secretariat (NMDS).

A handful of students were detained briefly and forced to clean up the road. It is not clear if classes will resume tomorrow, since students who spoke to theReporter vowed to return to school only when they have received their stipends.

All courses at LUCT Lesotho expired as of June 2022.
