The President and Founder of the Uni, Tan Sri L. Kok W. has been accused of racism and encouraging toxic behavior among the management and faculty members at the Uni in Malaysia.
Former staff members and students have described incidents where the President himself had demanded that dark-skinned students should not be present at LUCT education fairs.
It has also been highlighted that a culture of racism pervades the uni with other staff members openly insisting that black and dark-skinned students be excluded from performances and events, citing a preference for "blonde, blue eyes, and gray eyes". Numerous others have alleged that black staff members and students were not allowed to appear in marketing photos, thus corroborating allegations of racism at the university. Many students have taken to social media to share disturbing accounts of experiencing verbal abuse and sexual harassment following these episodes.
